NATURAL HEALING TRAINING PROGRAM

Naturopathy

Naturopathy is a science, a philosophy and a way of life. Naturopathy is based on the belief that the body has an innate ability to heal itself provided it receives what it truly needs - ample sunlight, fresh air, pure water, a balance of exercise and rest, and wholesome nutrition. Naturopathy emphasizes "treating the person rather than the dis-ease" and focuses on correcting and/or preventing imbalances.

The naturopath understands that dis-ease can occur on many levels and that by providing support and nourishment for the mind, body and spirit, dis-ease is less likely to occur. Naturopaths empower individuals to take responsibility for their own health and well-being. Naturopaths employ a wide range of non-invasive techniques to support optimal health and well-being. These modalities may include, but are not necessarily limited to: acupressure, massage, meditation, vitamin and mineral supplements, detoxification, spiritual, nutritional, exercise and lifestyle counseling.

Academic pathways

The Ahimki Institute of Holistic Theology offers a range of naturopathic courses, including Traditional Chinese Medicine, (acupuncture/acupressure, Tai Chi/Qi Gong), nutrition counseling, detoxification, spiritual counseling, homeopathy, herbal science, iridology, Reiki, reflexology, lifestyle counseling, aromatherapy and more.

Natural Healing Training Program consists of four modules which address physical healing, mental healing, emotional healing and spiritual healing. Each of these modules lasts approximately 3 months. Upon successful completion of all four modules, students will be awarded a Bachelors of Naturopathic Sciences degree. Students who are not interested in pursuing a degree at this time do have the option to take one or more of the training modules without enrolling in the degree program.

Physical Healing Training Module - Focuses on tools which can be used to facilitate healing on the physical level. Material covered in this module includes, but is not limited to; Iridology Reflexology, Nutrition, Acupressure, Therapeutic Touch and Aromatherapy.

Mental Healing Training Module - Takes an in-depth look at techniques used to support mental wellbeing and stress reduction. Techniques addressed include; 5 Element Assessment, Qi Gong, Meditation, Chakra Balancing and more.

Emotional Healing Training Module - Explores and provides practical application of various methods used to maintain emotional health. Topics explored include, but are not limited to, Psychoneuroimmunolgy (emotions and body chemicals), Buried Emotions, Acupressure and Emotional Eating.
